Every treatment plan and point combination is uniquely designed for you.

Acupuncture

Acupuncture is the insertion of one or more hair-thin needles into the body. The process is often painless, or nearly so, and generally very relaxing. Usually the needles are retained for 15 to 45 minutes while the patient relaxes on a massage table. Your treatments may include points on your hands, arms, legs and feet, and/ or head and neck.

Ear Acupressure

Ear Acupressure stimulates the acupoints located on the ear with tiny seeds that are no larger than the tip of an unsharpened pencil. These do not pierce the skin and are painless when in place. These are left in place for up to one week and re-stimulate the points by massaging your ear several times each day. A perfect continuation of the sense of wellbeing after your acupuncture and a great stand alone treatment for those as well.

Cupping

Cupping involves using glass or plastic suction-cups to create a painless vacuum effect that draws the skin up. The result is a movement of fresh blood to the area, the release of toxins, acupuncture point stimulation, increased circulation of blood and lymph, and relaxation of tight muscles. The cups may be left in one spot, or when used with massage oil, slid along the skin as a type of massage.

Gua Sha

Gua sha is a technique of using a tool to rub or ‘press-stroke’ the skin with even, repeated strokes over congested areas allowing for small red dots, or petechiae to appear. This treatment greatly increases circulation in the muscles, softens the connective tissue, breaks up scar tissue, removes spasms and pain, increases microcirculation and reduces inflammation. It even up-regulates the immune system.
